Turan Will Not Leave Barcelona
Arda Turan joined Barcelona from Atletico Madrid in July 2015. After his debut was delayed six months because the Catalan club was sanctioned by a player embargo, the 30-year-old midfielder failed to get a place in Luis Enrique’s top squad.
Last season, Turan scored 13 goals in 30 appearances with Barcelona, including a hat-trick against Borussia Monchengladbach. The incision made Arsenal interested to get the Turkish player.
But Ahmet Bulut, Turan’s agent, says his client wants to stay at Camp Nou. He wants to fight for a place in the main squad Ernesto Valverde, who replaced Luis Enrique as coach.
“Arda will stay at Barca, he still has a three-year contract,” Bulut told NTV Spor on Wednesday (5/7/2017). “He will join the training camp that will begin on July 12. Nothing new about this.”
Last month, Turan announced his resignation from the Turkish national team, the decision was taken following his dispute with a journalist.
