Hugo Lloris Acquires Frustration With Tottenham Appearance In The European World

Hugo Lloris threw up disappointment when discussing Tottenham Hotspur from two European competitions last season. It further adds to the long list of Spurs’ failure in the domestic as well as European arena.

Spurs managed to compete in the Champions League 2016-2017 after five years absence in the competition. But their step only until the group stage only because it occupies the third position standings.

The Lilywhites have won only two matches from six games in the group stages, making it a third finish and thrown into the Europa League, one level below the Champions League. Repeating the previous misfortune, Mauricio Pochettino squad squad is also directly eliminated in the round of 32 large.

They were defeated by Belgium’s representative, Gent. It is then that makes Lloris feel very frustrated and can not understand why misfortune continues to haunt his team.

“It’s been almost five seasons now I’m with Spurs and I’m getting a bit frustrated with European competition,” said the 30-year-old French goalkeeper.

“We have talented players to go further than we did, even in the Champions League, the highest level we can achieve. We have the potential to reach another level, ”

“The hope this season we can prove that we are quite priceless when facing big teams in Europe, and drove as far as possible, although our first target is to qualify from the group stage,

“This is just an experience that has been missed. Many players last season, who just got the first experience in the Champions League. We can say it’s up to what we want but there’s always the first thing that’s achieved in your career. ”

Tottenham become a very passive England team in the transfer market this summer. They have not brought in any new players, and have lost Kyle Walker sold to Manchester City.

Meanwhile Lloris’s future is also rumored to be on the edge, after rumors linked him to the French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Whether what the Spurs are trying, but hope they can repeat the same achievement or even better as a runner-up Premier League last season under Chelsea. (Source: Mirror)
